Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Southeast Roofing LLC wants this site to be usable by everyone who needs a roofer, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control. This page says what we have built in, what we know is still wrong, and how to reach a person if the site gets in your way.
What we are aiming for
We build this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard most commonly referenced in the United States for public websites.
We are not claiming to have met that standard in full. No independent accessibility audit has been carried out on this site, and the section further down names the issues we currently know about. We would rather tell you where we stand than print a badge we cannot stand behind.
What is built into the site
These are measures we have tested rather than intentions:
- A skip link at the top of every page, so a keyboard or screen-reader user can jump past the navigation straight to the content.
- One main landmark, one page heading, and a heading order that follows the structure of the page rather than the size of the text.
- Text alternatives on photographs. Every project photo carries alt text describing the roof, the work and the town, written when the job is uploaded rather than generated.
- Decorative icons and graphics are hidden from screen readers so they are not read out as noise.
- Visible focus rings on buttons, links and form controls, so you can see where you are when navigating by keyboard.
- Respect for the reduce-motion setting in your operating system. Every animation on this site, including the ones in the hero, the photo reveals and the process timeline, resolves to no movement at all when that setting is on. It is not a shortened version of the same animation.
- Forms with real labels, and error messages that say what to fix in words rather than only turning a field red.
- A declared page language, so a screen reader pronounces the content correctly.
- Layouts that reflow down to narrow screens and hold up under browser zoom, which scales the page and the text together.
Issues we know about
An automated audit of this site on October 18, 2026 found the following. We are listing them because you may run into them, not because we think they are acceptable:
- Some small grey text does not have enough contrast against its background. This affects the timestamps on review cards, breadcrumb links, image captions and the small uppercase labels above section headings. The measured ratios run between 2.6:1 and 4.4:1, where the standard asks for 4.5:1 on text this size.
- On the very narrowest screens, around 320 pixels wide, three pages we have measured still scroll sideways by a small amount: the licences page, the free inspection page and some city pages. The content is all reachable, but a line or two runs past the edge. Most phones are wider than this and are unaffected.
- Enlarging text on its own, without zooming the whole page, pushes the header off the side of some pages at around 200 percent. Zooming the browser normally, which scales the layout with the text, works correctly. If you rely on a text-only size increase, the phone number and the menu may be cut off; the number is also at the bottom of every page.
- Interactive diagrams, such as the labelled roof and flashing illustrations, convey part of their meaning visually. Each hotspot is a real button with a descriptive name, and the same information is written out as a numbered list beneath the diagram, but the illustration itself is not a substitute for that list.
- Some content on this site is delivered through third-party tools we embed or link to, including maps, scheduling and financing applications. We do not control the accessibility of those tools. If one of them blocks you, call us and we will complete the same task with you directly.
If something does not work, tell us
This is the part that matters most. If any page, form or feature on this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, contact us and we will help you directly and fix the underlying problem. Call (601) 549-3783, email office@southeastroofing.llc, or write to us at the office address below.
It helps if you can tell us the page you were on and what you were trying to do, but do not let that stop you getting in touch. We aim to respond within two business days.
Nothing on this site is a required route to doing business with us. A free inspection, an estimate, a proposal, a financing question or a storm claim can all be handled entirely by phone or in person, and we will never ask you to use the website instead.
How we test
We check pages with automated accessibility tooling against the WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules, and we check keyboard navigation, focus order and screen-reader output by hand on the pages people actually use to contact us. Accessibility is checked when pages change rather than once a year, and this page is updated when what it says stops being true.
