Why we install GAF
Where Timberline HDZ fits, and what being a GAF Certified Contractor actually covers.
GAF is on most of the roofs already in our project gallery, and it is still what we install when a homeowner asks for it by name or when we are matching an existing section.
Timberline HDZ
Timberline HDZ is GAF's architectural shingle and the one our proposals price against by default. Like Landmark it is a laminated shingle, two bonded layers giving the dimensional look. Natural Shadow is the lighter-profile shingle in the same family with a smaller color range.
The practical argument for GAF
- Scale. GAF is the largest roofing manufacturer in North America, which in practice means the widest local supply and the best odds of matching a color years from now when you need a repair.
- Familiarity. Our crews have installed more GAF than anything else, and that history is in the gallery rather than in a claim.
- Our certification. We are a GAF Certified Contractor, which is what allows us to register GAF's enhanced warranties on a qualifying system.
What GAF Certified means
GAF issues the credential after vetting a contractor's licensing, insurance and standing, and it is what lets us register GAF's enhanced warranties on a qualifying system. Our GAF listing is public on GAF's own site, so you never have to take our word for any of it.
